Our Team
At Fresh Beginnings, we are a team of deeply committed staff and volunteers who love horses and our community. We are taking our extensive equestrian knowledge coupled with backgrounds in social work, mental health, nursing, and youth mentorship; and are implementing programs not limited to at risk youth, veterans, PTSD, autism, victims of trauma and those with physical, mental, or emotional challenges. Our History
In 2019 Laura Vonk of Falls Echo Farm and Cathy Rockefeller of Windy Rock Farm came together to form Fresh Beginnings. Laura, a life long equestrian professional, and Cathy, a passionate equine rescuer and nurse saw a desperate need for equine assisted therapy in our community. Often our therapy is with horses who have come from trauma or been rescued themselves.
Our Mission
Thru the interaction with the gentle nature and spirit of the horse, our nonprofits mission is to provide a safe environment for equine therapy and healing for individuals and small groups. This is accomplished thru various ways including handling, grooming, caring for, and riding in one of our specially tailored programs.
Jointly we aim to improve the quality of life for horses and when we have room will rescue or accept horses in need as part of our equine rescue.

Your support and contributions will enable us to create educational and therapeutic programs, train our staff and volunteers, maintain our facilities, care for our horses and rescue others in need.
